Clubs that run rated tournaments 17

Most Riga clubs organise tournaments that are rated, so a game there counts towards a player’s rating. Riga Chess Club, Šaha klubs “3+2”, Baltijas Šaha Akadēmija, the Riga Latvian Society club, the Jewish community club and Šaha klubs Tornis run rated events at their usual halls, while JD Chess Club, Šaha kvartāls and ARchess organise rated tournaments in schools and centres across the city.

Several school clubs, from Rīgas Valsts 2. ģimnāzija to Rīgas 22. vidusskola and the Daugmale youth centre, host rated school events. Outside Riga, the clubs of Olaine and Sigulda run rated children’s and rapid tournaments, and A.B. Šahs holds its tournaments in Mārupe. Each card links to its tournament listings, where the rating and the time control of every event are given.
